Rome

Simon and I stayed in Rome for about a week, while we awaited the arrival of his new money card. We stayed with our friend from Barcelona, Marco, and his family for a couple of days to help us with our money situation. We experienced authentic Italian cooking courtesy of Valiera (Marco's sister) and his Mum, Teresa.

Rome is an amazing city with HEAPS to see. There is practically a monument or ruin on every street corner. One week is enough time to see most of the major sights. I enjoyed the abundance of drinking fountains as this city is seriously hot!
