Granada- Alhumbra

10 August 01
Alumbra is the main attraction in Granada. While there we walked through the Arab part of town which was interesting. The Alhumbra was an amazing place! Mark and I got up at 6.30am to queue for a place. We were about one hundredth in the line! By opening time, this queue had grown to over 1000 people! If you go there, you must either queue early, or book the day before.

One of the amazing things about the Alhumbra is how the Spanish have used water to enhance the ambience and affect of the gardens. Water seems to be everywhere, and there doesn't appear to be any pumps- yet it is on the top of a hill.
