Toledo

Toledo is a small town about an hour south of Madrid by bus. This town is very interesting as it is situated inside ancient walls upon a hillside. While it is a bit of a tourist trap, I would recommend paying it a visit if you have a spare day up your sleeve.

Toledo is reportedly the home of El Greco, though there isn't (apparently) any proof he lived there. Nevertheless, there is a museum honouring him there. This museum was a bit of a surprise, as there is only ONE thing to see there, a painting by El Greco!!
