These natural wonders are overrun by tourists each year. This trip is a 3 hour journey from Kusadasi by bus. These baths are formed by calcium buildup and make for a nice day trip. This place has nothing on Rotorua (NZ) or the Mount however....
Along the way the tour guide told a rather bizarre story about how Turkish boys 'court' Turkish girls, which I thought was funny.

Basically, if a boy is interested in a girl, he has to shoot a glass bottle off the chimney of her home. Her father will have put this bottle on the chimney, in the hope that someone will shoot it off! If the girl likes the boy, then she tells her mother, who arranges to invite their whole family over for dinner at the boys place (WITHOUT the boy in question....). Or is it the girl and her family who go to the boy's house for dinner?????
Anyway, if the girl IS NOT interested in the boy, then the father has to put another bottle up on the chimney, and the boy is not allowed to shoot it off for another 7 days- how frustrating that must be!
