Screen resolution refers to the number of pixels across and up the screen. It affects the viewing size of your page.
Generally, the larger the number for screen resolution (eg. 1024 X 768), the smaller the image on the screen will appear. Also, for computers that are using higher screen resolutions, they will be able to display larger images.
